Gator Dodson had the desire to turn the 1938 Mack truck his family had owned for four generations into a rat rod heirloom. The cab arrived in pieces and had rust falling from every angle. Because most of the budget was directed towards the bright Welder Up green engine, the cab was left as ratty as possible to create a dramatic contrast. A large alligator head was fashioned into the center console and the shifter - a large Zombie knife - was placed through it. Along the top of the truck, small alligator heads are illuminated by the running lights. The theme continues into the interior, which was finished with chains, guns, leather, and alligator skins. Muzzle brakes were used to add gun details on the wheels. A beat up and tattered fuel tank fit right in with the cab. To create "eyes" on this beast, large headlights were installed. The final complement is an original Mack Truck hood ornament.
